Today was the first day of our leader treks mission trip! We arrived in Florence, South Carolina and were given a tour of the church we are staying at. We took time to write in our journals for devotion time and then headed to the work site. When we arrived we learned how to paint and later met the owner of the house, Cookie. Cookie told us all about how she has helped her community and the people around her. Once we were done working we got ready for dinner and then had team time. We discussed what we wrote down during devotion and really worked on our communication skills. After that we got ready for tomorrow and and headed to bed.

We ate lunch at the house and worked more after. After cleaning up at the worksite we headed back to the church for showers. We had a little bit of free time but gathered together for dinner which was chicken parmesan. We ended our day with team time where we evaluated our work for the day, discussed the devotional and passed out encouragement beads.

Her name is Nette and she is truly amazing. Once she left we quickly got to work and even though we got home late we finished the house in a beautiful manor. We left to get back to church where the dinner team got to work making us some excellent Tacos. We ended our long day in some team time bible study and got ready for some well deserved sleep.
