The church devotes considerable energy toward nurturing the Christian faith of its congregants and producing Christian servants in the community. These efforts regularly go beyond Sundays, the front doors of the church, Pinehurst village limits, Moore County, the state of North Carolina and the United States. At Pinehurst United Methodist Church, we’re aggressively and enthusiastically directing those efforts toward the up-and-coming future leaders in the church.
Scriptural: “I’ve learned a lot more about God than I knew before I got involved,’’ said middle-schooler Kaylee. “I like how I’ve been able to do it in a fun, understandable way.’’
High-schooler Chase said his involvement in youth group has helped him focus on paying more attention to the Sunday morning services.
High-schooler Carter said his time in youth group has affected his behavior outside church.
“I see other kids I know that go to church doing stupid stuff,’’ he said. “And I just shake my head and wonder if they ever pay attention when they’re at church. Being involved with the church and the youth group definitely makes me stop and think a whole lot more than I used to.’’
